Monterey County Fair 2008

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

The fair was extremely fun this year. We went for 3 different days. The first day was the KWAV kids talent search where Keiko went out and won first place! She had such a fun time up there on the stage and it really showed. We also got to see Charlie Musselwhite and his amazing blues band. It was fun hanging out with Dennis Murphy and enjoying the music. For the second day we went to see Lee Durley and the Magic 63 All Star Band. They were great!100_4252.JPG (Fredo of Jammin 97 with Keiko and Mimi)

The 3rd day we went and just walked around and enjoyed the day. The girls got to get up and do some karaoke. Keiko and Mimi took over the mic and did quite a few songs. The DJ asked for Mimi to pick out quite a few songs because she was bringing crowds in when she sang. So, she did… and we were there for awhile. We had a great time. We are having a wonderful summer! Things are good…..

Sorry for the Lack of Posts!

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

I have been sadly neglecting this blog for awhile. I am hoping to back up and on track.

The girls have been having an amazing summer. They are growing so much everyday! It is amazing to watch how much their music skills develop on a daily basis. We are all enjoying this time sooooooo much! Just watching them and seeing them soak all of it in. We have been so blessed to have so many people who are mentoring the girls and helping them navigate the stages and equipment etc… They are getting an amazing education on all aspects of the business.

Well, I am going to try to go back and add some other of our summer activities into the blog. (To keep you all updated and in the loop:)

Sorry again to all of you who have asked for me to get this updated. Things have been a bit hectic this summer! Talk to you soon!

The girls are getting ready for another talent show….

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

This seems to be the time of the year for talent shows and festivals. The girls are getting ready for it. The little two are doing a little band medley. The older girls are both doing broadway routines. They are working hard at improving their skills with their voices and with their instruments. Kariel just started voice lessons. Millenia starts guitar lessons again on Monday. We will keep you updated on their progress! Check back often for updates…

This Halloween we had a great time as a family. The local college had a party where the kids got to dance and have a great time. Keiko won the costume contests at the college, McDonalds and at the Church function on Halloween Night! Go Keiko!! Kelly and I won second place in the adult division for our Donald and Daisy costumes. Mimi as Minnie, Ella as a Clown (and Elizabeth Swann) and Kelly as the Witch made for a very memorable Halloween….Halloween 07
