Hello all… well the MCOE open house is over. That was a mess for us. The mic sound was giving major feedback…. so the girls had to perform without one. Millenia had to perform without a mic with Kelly jo on the drums… so you could not here her. It was a bit of a disaster. However the girls had a good time. We got to see a lot of people we hadn’t seen in a while. I will try to upload some of those pictures soon. Also, I wanted to let everyone know that Keiko has been asked to officially be in the Blues Festivals Honors Band. She will be singing at the blues Festival in June. It will be a great time so everyone should try to make it. Millenia will also be performing at the Festival. She will be on stage with the amazing Dennis Murphy Band. So come and support the girls!

April 7th, 2008Wow! The battle of the Bands is over… The bands did a great job! It was the first time that we saw most of these bands. It was quite a night. Mimi and Kelly Jo
had a great time practicing their head banging skills, that along with their ballet spins it made for quite a show in itself! Keiko and Kariel worked very hard along side the other Council Members to get the show up without any major mishaps. The show was good! The audience choice award went to Berlin Rose… They were excellent… They had a great sound! We would like to see them again sometime.

Tomorrow is the Battle of the Bands
April 5th, 2008Hi everyone… Keiko is very excited to be helping out tomorrow with the battle of the Bands. Should make for a fun night. I hope that anyone that can make it… does…. So that we can all support out local bands. Millenia wants to retape her Blackbird video… SO that will probably be up later this week. Keep an eye out… Keiko and Kariel have a instrumental that we will be filming and putting up too.

Artsong Youth arts Festival
April 3rd, 2008This weekend we went to the artsong festival in downtown Salinas. It was a very nice event. They had local dancers and musician. They had a sidewalk chalk contest in front of Maya Cinema. It was very fun. The girls got down and dirty (literally!). They did a great job and had such a blast with it. Keiko and Kariel’s drawings both won. They got passes for the Maya Cinema. Here are some pictures from the day…
